Profile

SemCrude purchases crude oil and condensates from more than 2,000 independent producers and operators, as well as aggregators. The company also sells crude oil to independent refiners. SemCrude predominately stores crude oil at the Cushing Interchange, one of the largest crude oil market hubs in the United States.

SemCrude, headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma, has offices located in Oklahoma City, Houston, Wichita, Abilene, Dumas and Denver.

In mid-2007, SemGroup became the parent company of SemGroup Energy Partners, L.P. (SGLP). SemCrude’s long-term throughput agreement with SGLP guarantees total access to SGLP’s storage at the Cushing Interchange.

SemCrude’s relationship with SGLP assures us a strong presence in North America’s central energy corridor and enhances our ability to provide efficient and cost-effective customer service.

SemCrude’s Throughput Agreement Gives us Access to:

  • More than 2,400 miles of pipeline in Oklahoma and Kansas.
  • Almost 6.5 million barrels of storage in Oklahoma, Kansas and Texas.
  • 541,000 barrels of crude oil and condensate per day purchased, transported, gathered and/or sold in the United States.
  • Extensive crude oil operations.
  • Touch Star truck/field hand-held computers that collect accurate and timely volume information and transmit data electronically to SGLP's central system.
